Fix a connection or loading problem

When the board stops updating or a game does not load, find the message you see below. Reloading the page does not take you out of the match: your seat stays yours. Keep the match link, so you can open the same match again.

"Reconnecting"

Boardweaver cannot reach its server. It keeps trying, and after 15 seconds it shows this panel with the number of the attempt and the time to the next one. Select Try now to try again at once. If the panel stays, check your internet connection, then reload the page.

"A new version of Boardweaver is ready"

Boardweaver has changed since you opened the page. Select Reload.

"The game didn't start.", "The board hit a snag." or "The game stopped answering."

The game's board did not start, hit an error, or stopped. Select Reload game. If it happens again, the problem can be in the game itself. When the panel shows Copy error, select it and paste the copied text into your report, as described below.

"We couldn't load this game."

The board did not load. Select Back to play, then open the match link again.

"This game is locked pending review."

Someone reported a problem with the game's code. The match cannot continue while an administrator reviews it.

The match link does not open a lobby

The lobby may be full, started, closed by its host, or removed after 12 hours without a start. See the table in Join a match.

Report a problem

Open the Contact page. Fill in Your name, Email and Message, then select Send message. For a faster answer, select Join our Discord on the same page. Include:

• the match link and the game's name,
• your browser and device,
• the exact text of any error,
• what you did right before the problem.

A problem with how a game plays is for its designer to fix. If the game is in a playtest, tell the designer with playtest feedback.
