Create a game

Create a game on the Your games page of the Studio, or ask your coding agent to create it. Each game gets its own Studio pages, with a preview, its files, and the controls to share it. You must be signed in.

The Studio onboarding flow connects your tools and leads to starting a new game.

Create a game in the Studio

  1. Select Studio at the top of the page. The Your games page opens.
  2. Select + New game.
  3. In Name, type the name of your game.
  4. Select the Create button. It shows the name you typed, such as Create Tic-Tac-Toe.

The Studio opens your new game. It starts as a small tic-tac-toe example on the stable framework. Change it into your game, or ask a coding agent to do it.

To open the game later, select Studio, then select the game on Your games.

Create a game with a coding agent

Ask your agent to create a game with the name you want. The agent uses the create_game tool, and the new game shows on Your games. To connect an agent first, see Connect a coding agent.

The agent creates the game on the stable framework unless you ask for another one. Framework v3 writes game logic in Rust. It is a preview that everyone can use. To use it, ask the agent to create the game on framework v3. See Framework versions.

A game stays on the framework it was created on. Moving it to a newer framework is a separate upgrade.

If something goes wrong

The dialog says "Please enter a name". Type a name, then select Create again.

You see "Sign in to use the studio". Sign in, then open Studio again.

Next, edit game files or preview the game.
